White will next pen a drama toplined by Usher Raymond for
Dimension Films.
According to Variety, singer/actor Usher will star in the coming-of-age film about a kid from the streets who finds salvation through music.
"It's going to be a departure from what you've seen (Usher) do," White told the trade. "It's going to be a really heavy drama that starts with him seeing life through a rose-colored lens and it becomes the wrong man at the wrong place at the wrong time."
